Hartford, Conn. - SPARTA Insurance announces its expansion into professional and non-admitted lines and the hiring of Robert W. Mathis to lead the underwriting initiatives in these areas. SPARTA will offer professional lines products on an admitted and non-admitted basis through its companies, SPARTA Insurance Company and SPARTA Specialty Insurance Company. Mr. Mathis will provide strategic direction for targeted classes of business including lawyers, public officials, private and not-for-profit directors & officers, and miscellaneous professionals.
